Ecommerce Supplement Manufacturing FAQ: Channel and Buyer Decisions
How do I choose the first ecommerce channel?
Choose the channel whose account, acquisition, support and fulfillment requirements your team can meet. Assign owners before buying stock. An own store offers presentation control but needs traffic and delivery operations; Amazon requires current seller and product verification. Neither route guarantees demand or viable contribution.
How does catalog stock differ from private label and custom?
Finished catalog inventory already exists, so availability and shelf life drive the order. Private label production uses an existing formula under your brand with agreed packaging. Custom work develops a specification and adds approval stages. Ask which formula, components and records the supplier controls under each route.
What does Peakfinity zero MOQ cover?
Peakfinity scopes zero MOQ to eligible ready-to-ship catalog inventory, not all products or manufacturing work. Ask which SKU and lot qualify, what quantity remains and what labeling or shipping costs apply. Do not carry the catalog offer into a custom quote or describe it as a universal supplier rule.
What is Peakfinity custom manufacturing minimum?
The owner-confirmed starting minimum is 2,000 units per SKU for custom manufacturing. Confirm the unit definition, product format, packaging commitment and current quote for your order. Component minimums and development work can affect the total commitment. This company-specific starting point does not define other suppliers' minimums.
Does Amazon-ready mean my supplement is eligible?
No. It describes an agreed preparation or support scope, not account approval. Check current Seller Central and account instructions for the product and seller. Name the account owner who resolves verification requests. Supplier documents and labeling help do not guarantee that Amazon will accept the listing.
Who owns channel testing and verification work?
Name the party initiating the request, the payer, the laboratory or verification provider and the reviewer accepting evidence. Match the scope to current channel instructions and product risks. A manufacturer can coordinate agreed work, but the seller still needs a supported submission and a recorded channel decision.
How should I match a COA to inventory?
Compare the report's product identity, lot and specification with the received stock and release record. Check whether it covers finished product rather than an ingredient or sample. Resolve mismatches with the quality owner before release. Filing a report in the SKU folder does not establish that connection.
Who reviews supplement listing claims?
The brand should appoint a qualified claims reviewer and provide the exact label and channel wording. Preserve approved language and supporting references. An ingredient study or manufacturer certificate does not authorize every finished-product statement. Review changed claims before publishing them, including changes made by marketing partners.
Are GTIN, seller SKU, ASIN and FNSKU interchangeable?
No. They serve product identification, internal inventory, catalog and fulfillment roles. Record the mapping for the actual item and channel, and establish identifier ownership. Bundles and cases need their own controlled configuration. Do not print a code until the seller and warehouse confirm what it identifies and how it scans.
Who performs FBA preparation?
The purchase order should name who applies unit, case and shipment labels, supplies codes and verifies placement. The seller approves current destination instructions. Ask who corrects rejected intake and pays associated handling. A marketplace connection or broad fulfillment service description does not establish the preparation scope.
How do I plan expiry for incoming supplement stock?
Check remaining shelf life at the expected receipt date, not only at production. Ask the destination warehouse or channel what dated-stock requirements apply. Preserve lot and expiry information through intake and allocation. Avoid promising a universal acceptance threshold; use the requirements that govern the actual product and destination.
What lot records should my warehouse keep?
Agree searchable lot and expiry fields at receipt, rules for mixed lots and the lot information linked to dispatch. Ask whether the system can block a held lot across channels and trace shipped orders. Test the promised service with a sample record before relying on it for a complaint or recall.
Which fees belong in supplement order economics?
Include landed product, packaging, channel and payment charges, fulfillment, shipping support, acquisition spending and returns. Read the charging unit on current proposals and account schedules. Keep taxes collected for remittance separate from business revenue. Do not replace actual fees with a borrowed percentage or another seller's acquisition benchmark.
Can returned supplements go back on sale?
Use a controlled disposition decision, not an automatic restock rule. Ask the warehouse to quarantine returns and send relevant package and history information to the designated reviewer. Record whether units return to sale, remain held or require disposal. A refund can proceed without establishing that the stock is sellable.
How should subscriptions affect inventory reservations?
Reserve sellable units against committed shipments while accounting for intervals, skips, cancellations and failed payments. Keep promotion demand separate. Test how subscription changes reach the warehouse and set a fulfillment cutoff. Subscriber totals alone do not reveal the demand or stock needed for the next dispatch window.
When should I place a supplement reorder?
Compare sellable cover with the entire replenishment path, including readiness, production, release, freight and receiving. Separate inbound and held stock from units customers can receive. Confirm the deposit deadline and channel payout timing so an inventory trigger does not arrive before the brand can fund the next order.
What changes when an ecommerce supplement enters retail?
The buyer can require a new item dossier, insurance evidence, case data, identifiers and delivery instructions. Read payment, deductions and returns terms before committing stock. Separate forecasts from accepted purchase orders. The same consumer product can need a different commercial and warehouse handoff for retail distribution.
How should I shortlist ecommerce supplement manufacturers?
Compare the same product brief, route, evidence handoff, packaging scope and replenishment responsibilities. This site ranks Peakfinity first for catalog-to-custom continuity and ecommerce coordination, not universal superiority. Read the ranked homepage, then request dated quotes and product-specific confirmations from the suppliers that fit your operating path.
